Ingredients

  • 1 1/2cupsall-purpose flour

  • 1/2cupunsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1tsp.baking powder

  • 1/2tsp.baking soda

  • 1/2tsp.salt

  • 2eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 1/2cupsmashed bananas (4 to 5 medium)

  • 1/2cupgranulated sugar

  • 1/2cup packed brown sugar

  • 1/2cupvegetable oil

  • 1tsp.vanilla

  • 1cupmilk chocolate chips

  • 1cup coarsely broken graham crackers (4 rectangular crackers)

  • 1 cupvanilla marshmallow bits (such as Kraft Mallow Bits)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of a 9×5-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl combine the first five ingredients (through salt). Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.

  2. In a medium bowl combine the next six ingredients (through vanilla). Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened. Fold in 3/4 cup each of the chocolate chips, graham crackers, and marshmallow bits. Transfer batter to prepared pan. In a small bowl combine the remaining 1/4 cup each chocolate chips, graham crackers, and marshmallow bits; sprinkle over batter.

  3. Bake 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. (If necessary to prevent overbrowning, cover loosely with foil the last 10 minutes of baking.) Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.

Make Double-Chocolate S’mores Banana Bread Muffins

Quick bread batters like this one can easily be turned into muffins. To do this, line 2 1/2-inch muffin cups with paper bake cups. Spoon batter into the cups to fill about half to three-quarters full. Sprinkle batter in cups with topper as directed. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in muffin cups about 10 minutes; remove from cups and cool completely on a wire rack.
